Our Board
We are a non-profit organization with the goal of providing support and creative resources to our communities. We encourage utilizing creative and innovative healing proven methods, including both Music and Art. Each one of our Directors brings their professional experience and artistic talents to help others learn to creatively heal.
Vicki Guy, President

Vicki Guy is a dynamic leader, community advocate, and innovative problem solver with over three decades of service in Florida’s Manatee and Sarasota counties. A resident since 1988, Vicki’s passion for service began early with the Gulf Coast Girl Scouts, where she earned the prestigious Silver Award after dedicating over 1,500 documented community service hours. Vicki's professional journey reflects a deep commitment to both people and purpose. Over 16 years, she’s developed programs on Medicare, life insurance, and retirement planning, educating tens of thousands of attendees through more than 160 workshops. Vicki transitioned into the nonprofit health sector, where she coordinated programs addressing health disparities. At the Multicultural Health Institute, she served as Program Manager and helped develop innovative health, wellness, and environmental education initiatives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she co-produced over 30 0 live virtual music events, bringing joy to nearly 165,000 people during a time of isolation.
Her engagement continued to grow in 2022 and 2023, where over 150 events were managed, Vicki Guy, Founder, attained trauma and mental health certifications, and supported environmental health programs including air and water quality data projects. She contributed to public health initiatives with organizations with the Multicultural Health Institute, alongside, Sarasota Bay Estuary Program, Tidewell Hospice, SRQ Vets, AHEC, and the Florida Department of Health. After Hurricane Debbie, she founded Bridgewalk Community Resources.
Bridgewalk Community Resources' disaster response efforts have been equally impactful. After Hurricane Ian, they led a debris cleanup team of contractors, cleared yards of waste. In 2024, they extended this work to assist displaced residents after Hurricanes Debby, Helene, and Milton—providing FEMA assistance, insurance claim support, and direct aid to affected families.
In all her roles, Vicki emphasizes sustainable living, trauma-informed care, and equitable resource distribution.

Dawn Hendricks, Vice President
Dawn is well rounded and proficient in many forms of the arts including the healing and culinary arts. Dawn Graduated in 2011 from East West College of Natural Medicine (EWCNM) as an Acupuncture Physician (AP), Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM), Reiki Master and Life and Trauma Coach. During her graduate studies at EWCNM Dawn was class president which led to her receiving an invitation to be a part of a round table with the department heads of EWCNM and NCCAOM representatives. This round table was an integral part of major changes made to board proficiency requirements in 2014.
As a culinary artist Dawn is a pasty chef and bakery/cafe’ owner with a five star reputation. Dawn is also a Thespian and award winning contemporary ballroom dancer and choreographer. Credits to include choreographer for
major motion picture “Colored Eggs,” Nashville, Tennessee, Nashville Opera’s Turandot and Rigeletto, two music videos : The Man Who Laughs (artist Anthony Caruso), Movin’ Like The Ocean (Artist Anthony Caruso) and a line dance for Movin’ Like The Ocean. She is also a photographer, classically trained vocalist, drummer and a published and award winning poet.
Dawn’s heart and desire to give back to her communities is as big as her talent and creativity. Dawn’s heart says that accepting the position of Vice President of Bridgewalk Community Resources gives her and the Bridgewalk team the platform and resources to dream big and give back even bigger.

Melissa Cutler, Executive Secretary
Melissa is Bridgewalk Community Resources' Executive Secretary. She has spent the last 30+ years serving Gulf Coast senior residents in her own business as well as providing patients with quality, at home care, in addition to helping coordinate appointments, organization and structure.
Betty McQueen, CPO, M.S.,CFCS

Currently: Certified by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. Recognized as a Leader by the AAFCS Leadership Summit and Florida Affiliate. Owner Mann/McQueen Enterprises--Consultant, Speaker, Published Author, Artist
Formerly: Certified Teacher and Supervisor, Florida Department of Education, Co-owner of NetCoWorld, LLC, an E-commerce Business. Betty Mann McQueen’s job titles have been many in her eclectic sixty-five year career in the public, private, business, not-for-profit, and faith communities sectors. Her teaching experiences include pre-school through adult education. Regardless of the setting, she never waivers in her life mission in her life mission to empower others to fulfill their potential. She walks her talk by focusing on teaching the whole person
rather than teaching a subject to a person. A strong advocate for children, youth, and families, she believes the family must be included in the education process. She is a teacher who writes. She has honed craft by learning and using a variety of teaching practices to inspire and motivate the learner. Sarasota County has been her home base since 1967.
Recognized as a change-agent in Sarasota County, she was given innovative projects as: Home Economics Supervisor, Sarasota County Public Schools
Family and Consumer Sciences and 4-H Cooperative Extension Agent, Sarasota County, Program Director of Family Counseling Center of Sarasota County Executive Director of Consortium for Children and Youth of Sarasota County Co-chair of Kids in Crisis Project, Sarasota County, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarasota, Program Director of Boys and Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties, Chair of Committee for Tobacco Monies Received by Sarasota County. Volunteer Coordinator Sarasota Communities Blood Bank.
She earned her bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Nebraska and Florida State University respectively. A life-time learner, she has done post-graduate work at Florida State University, State College of Florida, University of South Florida, Florida Atlantic University, and Nova University.
